SUITSUIT EN ROUTE | Mallorca wine lover travel guide

For those who love authentic and local wine experiences, Janneke takes us to her favourite spots on the beautiful island of Mallorca. As a passionate wine enthusiast, she shares her top tips for wine bars, restaurants, and vineyards that should not be missed on your to-do list.

WHERE SHE ENJOYS WINE

BAR LA SANG – One of Janneke's favourite wine bars is Bar La Sang, where you can enjoy natural, international, and Spanish wines. This cosy spot offers perfect small bites, often prepared by various chefs, creating a rotating selection of flavours.

PORT DE SÓLLER – For a relaxing evening at the beach, Janneke recommends Port de Sóller. Pick up a local wine from the nearest shop, order your favourite pizza, and have endless conversations while watching the sun set into the sea. This is one of Janneke and her friend Helena's favourite activities, curious to hear their stories?

MESQUIDA MORA – At the Mesquida Mora vineyard, Janneke enjoys a long lunch where local wines are perfectly paired with the dishes. Did you know you can also spend the night here? Escape the crowds at Son Vinater, a home nestled among the vineyards of Mesquida Mora.

WHERE SHE TASTES WINE

MACIA BATLE – At Macia Batle, you can learn all about the history of Mallorcan wines and see how they are made. The extensive wine tasting is a highlight, where you can sample their famous “orange wine,” which Janneke herself has brought to the Netherlands under her wine label. They also offer special editions with unique labels designed by (local) artists. The tour is available in several languages, including English, Dutch and German.

CA NA TONETA – A unique feature of Ca Na Toneta is that the restaurant exclusively uses its own produce. All dishes are seasonal, and the wines come from local vineyard owners. Janneke loves it here for the traditional Mallorcan dishes that truly bring the island's village feel to life.

WHERE SHE SHARES WINE

LA VINILOTECA – A unique bar and vinyl record store combined. Janneke loves to visit La Viniloteca to listen to her favourite records with friends, accompanied by a good glass of natural and organically grown wine – which is the specialty of this place.

VINS NADAL – This family-owned winery is one of the oldest family businesses in the Binissalem wine region, where craftsmanship has been passed down from generation to generation since 1932. They are dedicated to producing sustainable wines. At Vins Nadal, you can take part in a unique wine experience, learning about winemaking and tasting different wines, all in a warm, familial atmosphere.

These wine spots are a tasteful addition to your trip to Mallorca and offer a great opportunity to discover local flavours. Don’t forget to bring your SUITSUIT backpack, perfect for carrying your favourite local products and wines home. This way, you can enjoy a piece of Mallorca for even longer.
