OUR SUSTAINABILITY JOURNEY

We feel a deep responsibility to protect the world we travel in, so that we and future generations can continue to explore all its beauty. But we realise that travel, particularly air travel, is scrutinised nowadays. Questions arise about whether travel conflicts with sustainability goals. And rightly so. As a brand that develops products to facilitate travel, we do not shy away from this responsibility. 

At the same time, we believe that responsible travel goes beyond making the right ecological considerations. Travelling in a way that’s sensitive to the climate, while ensuring that the wellbeing of the places and the communities we visit benefit in the long-term benefit from us travelling there is equally important. It’s a balancing act between maximising the positives of travel while reducing the negatives.

They say that “responsibility is the ability to respond”. Through acting, reacting, and mindful choices, we consciously make decisions across the following pillars: social, economic, and ecological. Not just making choices that are good for the company and its stakeholders, but also doing what's right for the people, society, and world we all live in. Taking responsibility goes beyond reducing our ecological footprint. Social and economic sustainability are equally important to us.

SOCIAL PILLAR

Any travel enthusiast will agree that a beautiful trip can be truly enriching. Meeting new people and discovering new cultures, flavours, and scents, learning new languages. Living unique experiences. But apart from consuming travel experiences, travelling also gives us the unique opportunity to give something back to the communities we visit, especially to women, who are often found in low-skilled or informal work. Travel can serve as a powerful tool for women to unlock their potential, to empower them in various ways.

ECONOMIC PILLAR 

Travel, especially when it involves visiting female host communities, has the power to enhance these women's economic independence, providing opportunities for self-development and confidence building. It offers a path to economic empowerment, especially in low- and middle-income countries and rural areas. By providing them with more employment and entrepreneurial opportunities, travel enables women to gain greater control over their incomes.

ECOLOGIC PILLAR 

We realise that travel, especially air travel, is at times subject to scrutiny. It is sometimes questioned whether air travel is at odds with sustainability goals. It’s a very legitimate question to ask. As a brand that develops products to facilitate (air) travel, we don't shy away from our responsibilities and strive to minimise our own ecological impact.  

Sustainable travel is about travelling in a way that’s sensitive to the climate while ensuring that the wellbeing of the places and communities we visit gain long-term benefit from us travelling there. It’s a balancing act between maximising the positives of travel while reducing the negatives. It’s our responsibility to contribute to keeping this balance.
